The customer’s request was to develop a completely unmanned system. It had to vacuum pack potato products in a very small, humid space at the end of the packing line. A custom-made handling robot with a mechanical gripper and vacuum support has been installed for this purpose. This has been extended with a modular conveyor belt system for stacking plastic crates and handling the packaging.
